IKECHUKWU NWOSU BURIES BROTHER 3 YRS AFTER AMID DRAMA

Mr. Ikechukwu Nwosu of Obiuno Otolo Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State on Friday, November 23, 2018, buried his elder brother, late Sunday Nwosu, three years after his death.

Family source told Anaedooline that Sunday Nwosu died on 10th January, 2016, and had remained in the mortuary since then.

But on Friday, November 23, 2018, Mr. Ikechukwu Nwosu, decided to pay last respect to his late brother, Sunday.

Source told Anaedooline that the funeral was organised without the consent of kinsmen; and that no kinsman besides the immediate family of the deceased, as well as sympathizers, were at the funeral.

The funeral ceremony was moving smoothly; but mild drama ensued when a younger sister to the deceased (names withheld), opened the casket, which had remained closed since its return from the mortuary, and started shouting, “This is wood, not my brother, Sunday!” “This is a carved wooden image! Let them tell us where they kept my brother’s body”.

As she shouted, she lifted the corpse from the casket with her left hand; and calling on visitors and other family members, to come forward and see.

Quietude was, however, restored when a family member explained to her that the corpse changed its form because of its long stay in the mortuary.
