We spend time stocking up, yet little time cleaning up our cabinet to save our stock. Take out containers you have used for donkey years without washing i.e. rice containers, plastic containers for salt, seasoning cubes, crayfish, and legendary paint buckets used to store food items; now it’s time to wash them off before stocking them up.
The kitchen is the most important place to keep clean and safe; you cannot clean up without paying attention to the engine house which is the kitchen. Use clean water, liquid soap, and a clean sponge. Wash all bleached pots too with iron sponge till they sparkle.
Have you cleaned your fridge/freezer
This compartment holds foods, time to take out old foods, time to take out spoilt foods, time to take out stale foods, time to take out old pepper or tomatoes puree you have been leaving for later, time to take out everything you said you didn’t have time to take out.
Clean your fridge/freezer thoroughly with clean water and liquid soap, wash all containers needed for storing food. This would take a while but it will be totally worth it.
Have you swept your house
Every morning you sweep your house; that is certain. The extra mile here is, have you swept under the cushion, have you cleaned out your wardrobe and swept it clean, have you removed cobwebs from your kitchen to your balcony, bedroom, toilet, and bathroom, etc., have you restacked your clothes in your wardrobe neatly, have you racked your gutter, have you swept your compound, have you mowed your lawn?
These hygiene practices during this Coronavirus seat at home will get you ready for a head start when the unofficial break is over. With clean water, detergent, rake, long and short broom, mopping stick and bucket, you can dedicate a whole day to this task and get it done.
Have you taken care of your personal hygiene?
Personal hygiene here, your clothes, your toothbrush, your underwear, your socks, shoes, etc. those items you use for day to day activities but have been avoiding caring for them. This time you have is ample enough to wash your wigs, hair net, makeup box, clean your mirror, combs, etc.
Your personal hygiene translates to your personality. It is imperative you do your laundry appropriately with a mild scented detergent and scented soap, invest in good deodorants, buy hair trimming tools, eg. clippers, shaving stick or shaving cream. Iron your clothes and get them neat and fresh. Looking good is good business. Max
Safe to say, considering the rampage of the coronavirus disease, one cannot be too careful, it is agreed that detergents and soaps can kill the virus. It is imperative to make sure every item you use or will use is properly cleaned, washed and sanitized regardless that you are not going anywhere
